Und schon wieder ist es Mittwoch und wir können euch im Rahmen des Wonderful Time Sew-Along – Part 4 vorstellen. Ein Sew-Along ist immer dann am Schönsten, wenn viele Menschen gleichzeitig gemeinsam nähen. Schon durch die Stoffauswahl ergibt sich eine ganz wunderbare Vielfalt an Tischläufern, auch unterschiedliche Anordnungen geben gleich wieder ein vollkommen anderes Bild. Gesehen habe ich bislang sowohl ganz klassische Varianten in rot/grün, oder ganz dezente pastellene Farben, oder Low Volume/Neutrale Kombinationen, als auch ganz bunte Stoffe. Es ist immer wieder eine Freude den Hashtag #wonderfultimesal in Facebook oder Instagram aufzurufen und eure tollen genähten Weihnachtskugeln zu sehen.
Habt ihr eure Lineale und Rollschneider schon bereit? Dann kann es ja auch diese Woche losgehen.
“Wonderful Argyle”
Der Block “Wonderful Argyle” ist einer meiner Lieblingsblöcke. Beachtet beim Zuschnitt unbedingt die genauen Maße und nehmt euch die Zeit genau hinzuschauen. Dann bin ich sicher, auch dieser Block wird wieder wunderbar.
Für kleine Zuschnitte habe ich mir übrigens das kleine Itty-Bitty Eights Lineal von Creative Grids gegönnt. Es sind glasklar alle notwendigen Linien eingezeichnet. So ist es auch kein Problem die Achtel Inch zu finden.

Zu Demonstrationszwecken habe ich einen kleinen 1 Inch Streifen unter mein Lineal gelegt. Die Linien des Lineals sind nicht komplett durchgezogen, so kann ich immer genau sehen, wo mein Stoff endet. Durch schwarz und weiß kombinierten Linien ist das auch bei Musterstoffen prima machbar. Ich bin Brillenträgerin und ein guter Kontrast ist für mich unverzichtbar.

It’s Wednesday again and we are going on with our Wonderful Time Sew-Along – Part 4. Isn’t a sew along so much fun? When a whole lot of people are sewing with us, the variations of table runners are very exciting. The color combinations alone are doing a great job. What I’ve seen so far, is quite a number of color variations. Starting from very classical red/green or low volume combinations and bright colors, everything is possible. And they all look really good.

“Wonderful Argyle”
The “Wonderful Argyle” Block is one of my favorites. To get the perfect result, please make sure to read the directions carefully and take your time, while cutting. This process guarantees a much better result.
I bought the Itty-Bitty Eights Ruler by Creative Grids. The markings are perfectly clear, that makes it easy to find every little eight of an inch.

This is a picture of my ruler and a little one inch strip I cut down. As you can see, the markings are dashed, therefor the visibility is great. The advantage is, that they are black and white, that helps a lot to see the lines, while cutting darks or light fabrics. No more guesswork for me. I am wearing glasses, I couldn’t cut as precise as I need it, without a good tool in my toolbox.
